Dock operations

Standardize dock execution on RF handhelds.

Operators record loading, unloading, appointment verification, and trailer exceptions through a guided RF handheld workflow.

Guided execution

Give operators the required steps at the dock door.

The handheld asks for the work type, the dock door, and the order before service can be completed, so every trailer is recorded the same way.

  1. Select the work type

Loading and unloading follow different rules, so the work type comes first.

  2. Enter the dock door

The door number ties the work to a physical position the office can see.

  3. Confirm the order

The operator picks from the open appointments, so work cannot be recorded against the wrong load.

  4. Complete service

Completion timestamps the service and returns the door to availability.

Dock visibility

Access current trailer and appointment information at the dock.

Operators search the schedule and review trailer, order, service status, and detention details from the handheld.

Exception management

Resolve exceptions at the dock door.

  • Unplanned trailer

Create the trailer record at the door without a separate office entry.

  • Trailer without a linked order

Search by WMS ID or reference and link the correct order and appointment.

  • Status conflict

Movo explains the conflict and blocks incompatible work until it is resolved.

Trailer rejection

Document trailer rejections before the trailer leaves.

The rejection reason, operator note, and photos remain attached as Movo reopens the appointment and alerts the office.
