Yard management is one part of it. Every trailer, door and spot sits on one live map with detention counting down on the cell, and a jockey works the moves from the same picture the office is reading. What a YMS does not do is the half that happens before the gate: the carrier’s email, the appointment book and the check-in. Movo runs that line too, which is why a trailer lands on the map already carrying its order and its appointment.
- A scheduling tool stops at the calendar and an order-entry tool stops at writing to your WMS. Movo keeps going: the same record carries the appointment through the gate, the door, the yard, and the departure, then reports on it. That is why the status on the board comes from the operator who did the work instead of being typed in after it.
- No. Drivers enter their order number at the check-in kiosk. There is nothing to install and no account to create. Carriers can keep requesting appointments by email.
- No. Your WMS still holds inventory and orders. Movo manages appointment scheduling, driver check-in, doors, trailer moves, and the work record. With Körber, completed work goes back to the WMS.
- Körber is live in both directions: orders and appointments come into Movo, and completed work goes back. Oracle OTM sends appointments. Flexe sends outbound orders and inbound containers for tracking. We review any other system before rollout.
- You can keep it. We first confirm what data Movo needs and what Movo should send back. Then we plan that connection as part of the rollout.
- Not unless you ask it to. Conductor drafts the order, the appointment, and the reply, then waits. One of your CSRs approving it is the only moment anything reaches your WMS or your appointment book, and it drafts replies rather than sending them. Every account starts there, and handing any step over is a decision you make once you have watched it work.
- Each person or device holds one role, and that role is the app they get: office, dispatch, dock, gate, or driver. It is checked on every request, so nobody reaches a screen that is not theirs. Movo records who made or approved each change and what changed.
- Your IT team identifies the system owners, provides access to the right environment, and agrees on what each connection can read and write. We define the exact work before rollout.
